and employment in the IT (Internet technology) field. There are many certifications available for new prospects. However, employers are requiring CompTIA A+ for entry level positions. The A+ certification provides employers the confidence that new techs can hit the ground running and fix computer problems. The next certification is usually the CompTIA Network+ which once obtained will lead to greater job responsibility and higher pay. After achieving these two certs the tech has the choice of either going the Microsoft MCSE track or the Cisco CCIE track. Either of these two tracks will lead to many great and well paying IT positions.
